In my line of work, there seems to be a shortage of college level instruction that could truly be called a benefit. Real world experience and training over book learning is essential to being a top level web developer.

I have recently moved the company to more stable, friendly Drupal to handle all major content sites for a variety of features that increase SEO readiness for the SEO Dept. Also using X-Cart to implement ecommerce sites. Cleanup, and programming fixes on a large number of former clients that are coming back for feature upgrades from the in-house CMS.

Work started at a sales/support position, and after a period of outstanding performance, and ability to adapt to new systems, and learn quickly, took a supervisory role, and became an integral part of day to day operations.
